Who Is Tim Houston?

Tim Houston started, owned and operated three successful businesses by the time he was 25. 

Tim graduated from Fordham University.  While planning to continue his  career in the legal profession, he heard his entrepreneurial instincts calling him in a different direction.

In 1996, Tim left the legal profession and launched Houston & Associates as a business debt resolution firm and a cash-flow consulting practice. His company worked on behalf of financially troubled businesses to resolve debt problems and to provide them with alternative forms of financing.

Tim is an accomplished public speaker in the areas of sales training, business networking and word-of-mouth marketing and has presented to representatives more than 3,000 companies and organizations.

Presently, Tim is BNI'S Area Director for the New York City Outer Boroughs Region which includes Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. He is also the Director for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.

He s a contributing author to the #1 Best Seller, Masters of Sales, the latest book written by best-selling author, Dr. Ivan Misner. He also authors a blog, SmallBizSaver.com which focuses on his observations about business, sales, marketing, networking and advertising.

Over the years, Tim has been interviewed on many local TV and radio shows and has been featured in many articles in local newspapers such as the Staten Island Advance, The New York Times, The New York Post, New York Daily News and Westchester People Magazine.

In his spare time, Tim loves to travel and has been to 12 countries, and 34 US States.  He’s also an amateur magician.

His keys to success are to practice and to teach others the philosophy of Giver’s Gain on a daily basis so that he can help others get what they want out of life and business.
